CBT

The Compulsory Basic Training Course is the foundation of all motorcycle training courses. It is the first step that a student takes on the journey to obtaining their licence. As a DSA approved Training body we provide CBT training to a very high standard that enables the student to begin his riding career with confidence. Courses are run most weekends and during the week by arrangement.

A Licence (Restricted)

This training course takes the student from CBT through to successful completion of his full motorcycle licence on a 125cc machine. This allows the student to ride a machine up to 25kw or 33b.h.p. This restriction remains in force for a period of two years after which time the candidate can then ride a motorcycle of any size.

Direct Access Scheme

Often referred to as DAS this course allows a student access to any size motorcycle on completion of their test. The training and the test are undertaken on a motorcycle of over 46 b.h.p and this course can be taken by any person who is over 21 years old. This training course is a quite demanding course and is normally undertaken over a four day period.

At C.B Training Services we offer the Direct Access Scheme and have a very good pass rate. The training is undertaken on Kawasaki or Honda 500cc bikes and the course is very keenly priced so as to be good value for money.

All tests are now conducted in two modules: Module 1 (handling) and Module 2 (practical). We are exceptionally lucky in our facilities at Bentwaters in being able to train riders in all aspects of bike handling (including slow speed and high speed control) in a safe and congenial environment so that they are well prepared for Module 1. The confidence students build in the private road environment stands them in good stead as they build towards the module 2 practical test training on the excellent biking roads around Rendlesham and then in the denser traffic environments of Woodbridge and Ipswich.
